Bendigo’s annual Easter Gala Parade on 20 April 2025 drew tens of thousands of spectators along the historic streets of the regional Victorian city. Approximately 100 Falun Dafa practitioners from Melbourne and Sydney participated together, presenting a vibrant procession despite intermittent rain. Bendigo Mayor Andrea Metcalf expressed enthusiasm about the group, saying “It was great to see them!”

The procession featured over ten themed sections: the TianGuo Marching Band with over 60 members in traditional blue-and-white robes, a banner section with an oversized Zhuan Falun book replica, meditation demonstrators in golden exercise garments, a Dharma Boat float decorated with lotus flowers, fan dancers in traditional Chinese costumes, a dragon dance group, Tang Dynasty fairy dancers, Vietnamese conical hat dancers, and a waist drum ensemble closing the procession.

“Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance — extremely wonderful. If they have harmed no one, then why can’t they be allowed to possess their own values and beliefs?”
