Invited by Greater Dandenong City Council, Melbourne Falun Dafa practitioners performed at Dandenong Square on 15 September 2024 as part of the city’s Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations. The programme, beginning at 11:50 am, featured a full array of traditional Chinese performances.

The programme included a dragon dance team, exercise demonstrations, fan dance, a children’s drama presented by Minghui School students, waist drum team, solo singing, and a conical hat dance — a rich blend of cultures that captivated the Dandenong Square crowd.

Residents Joan and Marie described the performances as “spectacular,” expressing delight that traditional Chinese culture was being kept alive. They felt the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance could benefit everyone, and took informational flyers to learn more.
